It’s been a long time since I’ve posted (according to my timeline 62 days) , that is a very long time. When we started this blog I never thought I would go so long without posting , little did I know a week is only 7 days (I knew that but….. I had underestimated the shortness of it, makes sense…. probably not). We’re really sorry but school is harder than we thought.
Anyway, today I’ll be doing a Book Bucket List …. part 2.Even though I haven’t read half of the books in the first one , but books keep getting added to my ‘to be read ‘list so here we go:
The summary for this book is: When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. An ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever. I feel like this book is going to be hard to put down once I start but never get your hopes up! I won’t really know what I think about this book until I completely read it but as for the summary it’s pretty captivating.
The second book is : The Accident season by Moira Fowley-Doyle
So the summary for this book is :The accident season has been part of seventeen-year-old Cara’s life for as long as she can remember. Towards the end of October, foreshadowed by the deaths of many relatives before them, Cara’s family becomes inexplicably accident-prone. They banish knives to locked drawers, cover sharp table edges with padding, switch off electrical items – but injuries follow wherever they go, and the accident season becomes an ever-growing obsession and fear. This book seems so mysterious and thrilling! I WANT TO READ THIS BOOK!!! Halloween would be a good time to read this!
The third book is : This Song will save your Life by Leila Sales!
First off the cover looks awesome!! This book is about Elise Dembowski who is not very good at making friends. All throughout her life, she’s been the butt of every joke and the outsider in every conversation. When a final attempt at popularity fails, Elise nearly gives up. Then she stumbles upon a warehouse party where she meets Vicky, a girl in a band who accepts her; Char, a cute, yet mysterious disc jockey; Pippa, a carefree spirit from England; and most importantly, a love for DJing . I think this book is all about dreams and how everybody is different and everybody takes life in their own pace. Also did I already say the cover looks really cool?
The fourth book is : Love letters to the dead by Ava Dellaira!
Th e summary for this book is : It begins as an assignment for English class: write a letter to a dead person.Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to the dead—to people like Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Amelia Earhart, and Amy Winehouse—though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating the choppy waters of new friendships, learning to live with her splintering family, falling in love for the first time, and, most important, trying to grieve for May. But how do you mourn for someone you haven’t forgiven? First thing , Why don’t we have such assignments? Second , why would you write a letter to someone who your sister loved?. I think I want to read this book to maybe try and understand the protagonist’s feelings and thoughts .
The final book for this list is : Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid!!
This book is about two best friends Dave and Julia who make a list of things they’re NEVER going to do in high school and then they decide to do everything on the ‘never’ list ,which starts as a joke but the the funny thing happens they realise that they are missing out on the fun of high school but not doing the clichés. I feel that this book will be fun filled , cheery and very high school-y.
These are a few of the many books I want to read this year . Have you guys read any of these ? Also , what books do you want to read this year? Let me know in the comments
